”I am a Swedish artist now living and working in southern France.

I often start my work from the feeling in my body of being in stillness and in movement. Painting inspires me to let the molecules of colour carry the expression and abolish the law of gravity a little.

The female body and portrait often return in my motives to express feelings of joy, sadness and other undefined aspects. In the strokes of colours I strive to find the shades that carries the light and gives every part of the surface a distinct tone expressing the character and the inner soul of a face. The portrait also represents an image of timelessness. In a picture from the past somebody is watching you in complete presence. That is my inspiring challenge to capture.”
