Clara Lundgren grew up on the beautiful little island Gotland, where the light and colours are extraordirnary. Now she lives and works in Malmö, in the south of Sweden. When she’s not painting you’ll probably find her on the back of a horse. She’s competing showjumping all over Sweden, Denmark and Germany.
Lundgren studied Art and graphic design in Lund. During 2008 she participated in her first art exhibition. Since then her paintings have been shown at solo exhibitions, group exhibitions, exhibitions with a jury… and she has been awarded with scholarships.
Her colour palette explores the sweetness of grey tones contrasting with the intensity of relentless colour. With splashes of darkness each picture tells its story, always with a proximity to animals and nature or mankind’s relationship to them. The beautiful and fragile hiding the uncertain, what was and what will be.
