Jason DeBose

The photography of Jason DeBose uses low resolution photography printed on canvas paper, creating an effect inspired by the impressionist school of painting. Amidst these images (that are often mistaken for actual paintings), DeBose puts everyday moments under a microscope to remind us of the aspects of 21st century life that will be human civilization’s signatures. These chosen moments are our own ‘Grand Jatte’ that are sure to be discovered by a future society arriving after our demise to ponder us in the same fashion that our own archaeologists focus upon the Ancient Egyptians, Aztecs, Inuit or Greeks in the present day.
